Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Clyde Survey District, for a Main Highway Depot
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the establishment of a main highway depot—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Wairoa and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty day from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 3 acres and 12 perches.
Being Subdivision 1æ 13B, Paeroa Block.
Situated in Block I, Clyde Survey District (Hawke's Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2529.)
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134363, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for a Recreation-ground in Block II, Whangaparaoa Survey District
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a recreation-ground: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Cape Runaway and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy-trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy-trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy-trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949
IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

Patumahoe–Pukekohe Road, commencing at its junction with the Papakura–Titi Main Highway proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction, and terminating at the junction of the said road with Carter's Road.

Patumahoe–Drury Road, commencing at its junction with the Patumahoe–Pukekohe Road and terminating at a point 4 chains measured in a northerly direction along the said Patumahoe–Drury Road from the said junction.

The Pukekohe–Glenmurray via Tuakau Main Highway No. 321, commencing at a point 17 chains measured along the said main highway in a north-westerly direction from its junction with George Street, and terminating at a point 17 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-westerly direction from the said junction.

Amending Speed Limitations Imposed by Section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949
IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant dated 21st day of December, 1936,* which applies to the portions of roads described in the First Schedule hereto, and doth hereby exclude those portions of roads which are described in the Second Schedule hereto from limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Situated within Tuakau Town District—
Pukekohe–Glenmurray via Tuakau Main Highway No. 321 (all that portion from its junction with Gibson Road to the southern boundary of Tuakau Town District, a distance of approximately 1 mile).
Tuakau–Pokeno via Whangarata Main Highway No. 463 (all that portion from a point 4 chains east of its junction with Carr Street to the eastern boundary of Tuakau Town District, a distance of approximately 60 chains).
Harrisville Road (all that portion from a point 6 chains north of the Government railway-crossing to the northern boundary of Tuakau Town District, a distance of approximately 40 chains).
SECOND SCHEDULE
Situated within Tuakau Town District:—

Pukekohe–Glenmurray via Tuakau Main Highway No. 321 (all that portion commencing at the junction of the said main highway with the Tuakau–Pokeno via Whangarata Main Highway No. 463, and terminating at the southern boundary of Tuakau Town District).
