FIRST SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF KAIAPOI
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point at the north-western corner of the Borough in the middle of Revells Road and in line with the middle of Cam Road; thence towards the east, to and along the middle of Cam Road, to and across the Cam River to its left bank; thence generally north-easterly along the left bank of that river, to and easterly and northerly along the boundary of Kaiapoi Maori Reserve 873, to and easterly along the southern boundary of Rural Section 1295, and that boundary continued to the middle of the Main North Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road to a point opposite the northern boundary of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 183, folio 285; thence easterly to and along that boundary, to and southerly along the eastern boundary of the land in that certificate of title and continuing southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9, D.P. 1257; westerly along the southern boundary of said Lot 9, to and southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 177, folio 100, to a point 250 links from the eastern side of the Main North Road; thence southerly along a line parallel to and 250 links from the eastern side of the said Main North Road to a point on the northern boundary of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 394, folio 81; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of the land in that certificate of title and the said eastern boundary continued to the middle of Beach Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the eastern side of Feldwicks Drain (through R.S. 320); thence southerly to and along the eastern side of that drain to the intersection of Cass and Commercial Streets; thence easterly along a line in continuation of the northern side of Cass Street for a distance of 250 links; thence southerly by a line parallel to and 250 links from the eastern side of Commercial Street and that line continued to the left bank of the north branch of the Waimakariri River; thence generally westerly along the left bank of that river to a point due north of the intersection of the right bank of the said north branch of the Waimakariri River with the left bank of the south branch of the Waimakariri River; thence southerly to the said intersection and continuing southerly along the said left bank of the said south branch of the Waimakariri River to a point in line with the middle of Charters Street; thence generally westerly and southerly along the middle of that street to a point in line with the southern side of Ohoko Road; thence westerly by a line to the southern side of that road; thence southerly along the western side of the road along the western side of the Railway Reserve (Kaiapoi Station Yard), to and across the Railway Reserve (Gazette, 1951, pages 483–4) and continuing along the western side of the road on the western side of the said Railway Reserve, to and along the western side of that Railway Reserve, to and westerly along the left bank of the Kaikainui Stream, to and westerly along the southern boundary of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 394, folio 92, and Volume 394, folio 87, crossing the aforesaid Railway Reserve (Gazette, 1951, pages 483–4) and that line produced to the middle of the North Road; thence generally northerly along the middle of the Main North Road, the middle of Cemetery Road and the middle of Peraki Street to a point 250 links from the southern side of Ohoka Road; thence westerly along a line parallel to and 250 links from the southern side of Ohoka Road, to and northerly along the middle of the road (Coupes Road) which forms the western boundary of Rural Section 321, and that line continued across Ohoka Road to its northern side; thence easterly along the said northern side of that road to the south-western corner of Lot 3, D.P. 2126; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Lots 3, 2, and Part 1, D.P. 2126, Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 14077, and Lot 1, D.P. 14016, and that line continued across the Railway Reserve, to and across Adderley Terrace, and easterly along the northern side of that terrace and the right bank of the north branch of the Waimakariri River and across that river in line with the east side of Hilton Street, to and northerly along the left bank of the aforesaid river to a point in line with the middle of Revells Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the middle of Cam Road, the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF RANGIORA
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the western corner of Rural Section 31894 at the intersection of Glentui-Bennetts Road and Dickinson Road, Block II, Mairaki Survey District; thence to and easterly along the middle of Dickinsons Road to and north-easterly along the middle of Carlton Road, to and north-easterly along the middle of Bowicks Road to the right bank of the Ashley River; thence due north along a right line to the middle of that river; thence easterly generally along the middle of the said Ashley River to the sea; thence southerly generally along the high-water mark of the sea to the middle of the Waimakariri River; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to a point in the southerly production of the easternmost boundary of the Borough of Kaiapoi, as described in the First Schedule hereto; thence to and generally northerly, westerly, again northerly and again westerly along the boundary of the Borough of Kaiapoi, also described in the First Schedule hereto, to the left bank of the north branch of the Waimakariri River at the centre line of Revells Road, and the last-named boundary produced to the middle of the said river; thence westerly up the middle of the north branch of the Waimakariri River to a point in line with the middle of the Main Drain and Road Reserve; thence to and north-westerly along the middle of the said Main Drain and Road Reserve and the middle of Oxford and Kaiapoi Road, to and along the middle of the road running along the southern side of the Oxford–Rangiora Railway line to a point in line with the western boundary of Rural Section 3811; thence southerly along the production of the said western boundary of Rural Section 3811, to and westerly along a line in the production of the north side of Boundary Road and that line continued to and along the north side of that road, to and southerly along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 4286 and that boundary produced to the middle of the road forming the southern boundary of said R.S. 4286 and intersecting Reserve 927; thence westerly along the middle of that road and north-westerly along the middle of the road fronting Reserve 927, Rural Sections 12693, 12704, 12757, 12896, 18124, 13958, 14593, &c., to the northern side of the Oxford and Rangiora Railway Reserve; thence easterly along the northern side of that Railway Reserve, to and northerly along the eastern boundary of R.S. 4214, to and along a fence as delineated on Map 60 (red) in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch, to and across the Cust River, to and along the middle of the road forming the eastern boundary of Reserve 713; to and westerly along the northern boundary of said Reserve 713; to and northerly along the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 10176 and 11124; to and north-westerly along the middle of the road fronting Rural Sections 23352 and 32061; south-westerly along the middle of the road fronting Rural Section 32061, and north-westerly along the middle of road fronting Rural Sections 32061, 32043, 31938, and 31894; thence to the western corner of R.S. 31894, the point of commencement; excluding from the above-described area the Borough of Rangiora.
THIRD SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE RANGIORA RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF RANGIORA
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded on the north, east, and south-west by the northern, eastern and south-western boundaries respectively of the Rangiora County as described in the Second Schedule hereto, from the intersection of the middle of the River Ashley and the production of the western boundary of Rural Section 11239, Block IV, Mairaki Survey District, to a point in line with the western boundary of Rural Section 3811, Block VIII, Mairaki Survey District; thence by a right line proceeding in a northerly direction to and along the western boundary of the said Rural Section 3811, along the eastern side of the road through Rural Section 3876, Block VIII aforesaid, and the western boundaries of Rural Sections 4048, 4128, and 4229, all of Block VIII aforesaid, to and along the western boundaries of Rural Sections 9163 and 11239 and the production of the western boundary of the last-named section to its intersection with the middle of the River Ashley, the point of commencement; excluding from the above-described area the Borough of Rangiora.
FOURTH SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF EYRE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the County of Rangiora in line with the southern boundary of Rural Section 4643, Block VI, Mairaki Survey District; thence generally easterly along the southern boundary of the County of Rangiora as described in the Second Schedule hereto, to and along the southern boundary of the Borough of Kaiapoi, as described in the First Schedule hereto, to the south-east corner of the said Borough; thence to and easterly along the middle of the north branch of the Waimakariri River, being the boundary of the County of Rangiora and described in the Second Schedule hereto, to and along the middle of Stewarts Gully, to and along the middle of the old dry bed of the south branch of the Waimakariri River, to and along the middle of the Waimakariri River to a point in line with the north-western side of the road which forms the south-eastern side of Rural Section 32083, Block IV, Hawkins Survey District; thence to and along that road to the north-eastern corner of said Rural Section 32083; thence north-easterly by a right line to Trig. Station 48, Block XIII, Mairaki Survey District on the Main Race Road, thence easterly along that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 32211; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 32641, 30062, 33077, 26299, intersecting Rural Section 14621 and along the north-western boundary of Rural Section 15260 and continuing along the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 12751, 12432, 15362, 18704 across the Eyre River, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 18588, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Reserve 4389, to and across a road reserve and continuing along the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 23164 across Moderates Road and along the south-eastern boundary of R.S. 19574 across Tram Road, to and along the south-eastern boundary of R.S. 23243 to the southern boundary of R.S. 4643, thence easterly along that boundary and the production thereof to the boundary of the County of Rangiora, the point of commencement.
FIFTH SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE EYRETON RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF EYRE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north, north-east, south-east, and south by the northern, north-eastern, south-eastern, and southern boundaries of the County of Eyre, as described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, from the intersection of the northern side of Boundary Road produced with the eastern side of Richmond Road opposite the south-eastern corner of Rural Section 4425, Block XII, Mairaki Survey District, to the West Eyreton Riding, as described in the N.Z. Gazette No. 26, 21st March, 1912, page 1071, and towards the west generally by the eastern boundary of that riding to the point of commencement.
