Declaring Lands in Wellington and Otago Land Districts, Vested in the Wanganui, Wellington, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in His Majesty the King

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion, is no longer required for that purpose, shall be vested in His Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Wanganui and Wellington Education Boards respectively, and the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less being part Section 8, Block XII, Oroua Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 67, folio 275 (Wellington Registry).

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a technical school; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of July, 1951.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 32 acres. Being part Lot 1, D.P. 1083, being part Subdivision 3 of Section 13. Situated in Block II, Ngaere Survey District (Taranaki R.D.). (S.O. 8443.)
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134467, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered orange.
