HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke’s Bay Electric-Power Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, to provide test-room facilities in connection with its undertaking—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the Office of the Board in Heretaunga Street, Hastings, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections, in writing, and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the General Manager of the Board at his office, Heretaunga Street, Hastings.
SCHEDULE
Fifteen decimal four perches (15·4 p.), being Lot three (3) and part of Lot two (2) on Deeds plan No. 478, part of the Heretaunga Block, situated in the Borough of Hastings, in the Land Registration District and Land District of Hawke’s Bay: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 2532 (red), deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, and thereon coloured blue.

BOROUGH OF TAURANGA
RESOLUTION SECURING SPECIAL RATE
Abattoir Loan Amalgamated Loan, 1951, of £18,000
THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the loan of eighteen thousand pounds (£18,000) authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out extensions to the Tauranga Borough Abattoir, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eighteen sixty-fourths of a penny (18/64d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Worker’s Dwelling Loan, 1951
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Eltham Borough Council, hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land, erecting dwellings, and purchasing land with dwellings thereon, the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Eltham comprising the whole of the Borough of Eltham; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OTAGO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE
General Extension Loan, 1945, £25,000
THE Otago Electric-power Board at a special meeting of the Board at Milton on the 17th day of December, 1946, resolved—
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and any amendments thereto, and all other powers, and for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) to be known as General Extension Loan, 1945, and the costs of raising the said loan authorized to be raised by the Otago Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, and pursuant to section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of the further reticulation of the inner area of the Otago Electric-power District as hereinafter defined the Otago Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny (1/15d.) in the pound on the rateable value based on the capital value of all rateable property within the inner area of Otago Electric-power District (which includes portions of the Counties of Bruce, Clutha, Maniototo, Taieri, Tuapeka, Waikouaiti, and Waihemo, together with the Boroughs of Balclutha, Kaitangata, Lawrence, Naseby, Palmerston, and Waikouaiti); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the said General Extension Loan, 1945, or until the said loan has been fully repaid, and the special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan and for the payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at the above meeting as minuted.
