THE following Special Order made by the Mount Roskill Borough Council on the 15th day of May, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby declares by way of Special Order that all the plants mentioned or included in the First Schedule to the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, are noxious weeds within the Borough of Mount Roskill.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Waikouaiti County Council hereby resolves that Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea) is hereby declared a noxious weed within the County of Waikouaiti.

THE Waimate County Council resolved by way of special order that the following noxious weeds are noxious within the whole of the Waimate County: Hemlock, Ragwort, Blackberry, Sweetbrier, and Burdock.

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 8th day of June, 1951, adjourn the said application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 2nd day of July, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred and forty-six (146) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 6196, and being Part Sections 35 and 36, Block IX, Opunake Survey District, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 155, folio 68 (Taranaki Registry).
As witness my hand this 14th day of June, 1951.

Reorganization of the Territorial Force

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following amendment to New Zealand Gazette Notice No. 55, dated 21st October, 1948:—
REORGANIZATION OF THE TERRITORIAL FORCE
WHEREAS by New Zealand Gazette Notice No. 55, appearing at pages 1298 and 1299 of the New Zealand Gazette dated 21st October, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General was pleased to approve under Section 6 (a) Defence Act, 1909, of the reorganization of the Territorial Force; and whereas by reason of further reorganization of the New Zealand Army the said Gazette notice requires amending;
Now, therefore His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve that the said Gazette notice of 21st October, 1948, be amended as follows:—
Units Redesignated
By deleting “1st, 2nd and 3rd Squadrons (Composite) RNZ Sigs” in the second column and substituting “1st, 2nd and 3rd Squadrons RNZ Sigs” respectively.
New Units Formed
(i) By adding “Headquarters Squadron RNZ Sigs” immediately after “Headquarters 1st Divisional Signals Regiment RNZ Sigs”.
(ii) By adding “4th Squadron RNZ Sigs” immediately after “Headquarters Squadron RNZ Sigs”.
