Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Block I, Oero Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land :

And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 6th day of December, 1949, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act, 1931 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 487 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—

A. R. P. Being portion of
0 0 09·2 Patangata 3B 2 Block.
0 0 00·03 Patangata 3B 2 Block.

Situated in Block I, Oero Survey District. (S.O. plan 2329.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/3164, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3066, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1951.

Land Subject to the Housing Act, 1919, Declared Crown Land Available for Reservation Under the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act, 1948.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in the Taradale Town District containing by admeasurement 1 rood 4·8 perches, more or less, being Lot 6, on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Napier, under No. 8143, being part Suburban Section 55, Meeanee.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of June, 1951.

Declaring Land in Block VII, Umutoi Survey District, Wellington Land District, Vested in the Wanganui Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in His Majesty the King

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in His Majesty ; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation.

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

Section 6, Umutoi Village Settlement, situated in Block VII, Umutoi Survey District : Area, 4 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 14611.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of June, 1951.
