CORRIGENDUM

IN the Proclamation dated the 19th day of April, 1951, proclaiming land as road and road closed in Block XVI, Tairua Survey District, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 34 of the 26th day of April, 1951, at page 577, for the area of 37·2 perches thirdly described in the First Schedule to the said Proclamation, read 1 acre 0 roods 37·2 perches.

Varying a Proclamation Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby vary the Proclamation made on the 24th day of March, 1950, and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of March, 1950, at page 329, declaring certain parts of New Zealand to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said Act, by excluding from the Schedule thereto the description of the Waipa Tribal District, and substituting therefor the description appearing in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

THE WAIPA TRIBAL DISTRICT

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the boundary of the Otorohanga County as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1926 at page 1097, and a right line between Trig. Station T (Rock Peak) in Block I, Orahiri Survey District, and the south-western corner of Orahiri No. 1a Block in Block III, Orahiri Survey District; thence proceeding westerly and north-easterly generally along the said county boundary to Trig. Station Te Ake-o-Hikopiro in Block VI, Pirongia Survey District, and along a right line to Trig. Station Mahaukura in Block III, Pirongia Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Tahanui in Block II, Pirongia Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 204, Tuhikaramea Parish in Block XII, Alexandra Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 112, Te Rapa Parish in Block VII, Hamilton Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Waikato River; thence south-easterly generally up the middle of that river to the western boundary of the Borough of Cambridge as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1886 at page 985; thence northerly, easterly, and southerly along the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of that borough to the middle of the Waikato River; thence south-easterly and southerly generally up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Waipapa Stream in Block XVI, Wharepapa Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Te Ranga in Block XIV, Wharepapa Survey District, and a right line to a point in the middle of the Mangatutu Stream in line with the southern boundary of the eastern portion of Rangitoto A No. 27b Block in Block XIII, Wharepapa Survey District; thence north-westerly generally down the middle of the Mangatutu Stream and the middle of the Puniu River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the Puniu Parish; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to the middle of the Mangaohoi Stream; thence north-westerly down the middle of that stream and the middle of the Mangapiko Stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 317, Mangapiko Parish, near the north-western corner of the Borough of Te Awamutu; thence westerly along a right line to the confluence of the Waipa and Puniu Rivers; thence southerly generally up the middle of the Waipa River, to and up the middle of the Mangapu Stream to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 7c 2 Block in Block VIII, Orahiri Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to Te Puhi Trig. Station in Block III, Orahiri Survey District, and a right line to the south-western corner of Orahiri 1a Block; thence south-westerly along a right line in the direction of Trig. Station T (Rock Peak) to its intersection with the boundary of the Otorohanga County, the point of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of May, 1951.

Declaring Portions of Railway Land at New Plymouth to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, the Government Railways Act, 1949, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1948.
