TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvement Loan (£11,000), 1951

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reimbursing the bank account to the extent of £7,766 (being money expended in anticipation of the Streets Improvement Loan), of additional forming, metalling, and sealing of Pillans Road, £3,000, of contingencies and of the cost of raising the loan, of £234, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen sixty-fourths pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Tauranga ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half yearly on the 30th day of March and on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric-power Board Electrical Extension Loan, 1950, of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Electric-power Board by special order under section 15 of the Finance Act, 1936 (No. 2), for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven fiftieths of a penny (7/50d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric-power District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Board on the 18th April, 1951, and appearing in the Board’s minute-book at page 722.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa County Council under the above-mentioned Act, and to be known as the ‘Housing Loan, 1950,’ for the purpose of purchasing one house, constructing two or more houses, and making additions to at least one house for the housing of the Council’s employees, the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of one penny (1/24d.) in the pound on the rateable value (capital) of all rateable property comprising the County of Wairoa ; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 20th day of February in each and every year until the loan in fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Wairoa County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Queen Street, Wairoa, on Tuesday, the 10th day of April, 1951.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Works Loan No. 1, 1950, of £383,450

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its Amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That for the purpose of providing the interest sinking fund repayment of principal and all other charges on a special loan of three hundred and eighty-three thousand four hundred and fifty pounds (£383,450) to be known as the Wellington City Works Loan No. 1, 1950 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of paving streets, purchasing paving plant and erecting an administrative building and public conveniences the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and one eight-hundredths of a penny (201/800d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the first day of April in each year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five (25) years from the first day of October, 1951, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 7th day of May, 1951.
