Declaring Land in North Auckland and Nelson Land Districts,
Vested in the Auckland and Nelson Education Boards as Sites
for Public Schools, to be Vested in His Majesty the King
[L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act),
it is provided that notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Pro-
clamation declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which
in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested
in His Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof,
as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged
from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all
leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the
date of the Proclamation.
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
by subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto,
being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the
land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested
in the Nelson Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall
be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from
every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date
hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less,
being part of Sections 3 and 6, Block VIII, Hukerenui Survey
District, as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office
at Auckland under No. 2023, and being the whole of the lands
comprised and described in Certificates of Title, Volume 91, folio
284, and Volume 92, folio 43 (Auckland Registry). As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
6/6/966, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 51, Town of Murchison : Area, 3 acres, more or less. (S.O.
plan 5774.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1951.

Proclaiming a Road-line Laid Off in Block XV, Kawakawa Survey
District, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road
[L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was,
by an order of the Maori Land Court made on the 26th
day of September, 1945, duly laid off as a road-line in pursuance of
sections 478 and 479 of the Maori Land Act, 1931 :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the
public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a
public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to
the Minister of Lands, in terms of section 486 of the said Act :
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to
proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the
Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned,
in terms of subsection (2) of section 487 of the said Act :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should
be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 487
of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road
the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, under No. 3064, and thereon coloured as above
mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1951.

Crown Land in Otago Land District Set Apart for the Purposes of
Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section 9 of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
