Agreement for Grant of Easement (Right-of-way) in Favour of Kaikoura Supply Stores, Limited, a Company Incorporated Under the Companies Act, 1933, and Having its Registered Office at Kaikoura, Over Land Situated in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, Taken for the South Island Main Trunk Railway (North End)

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 2nd day of March, 1948, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th day of the same month at page 264, all that parcel of land containing approximately 2·82 perches, being part Lot 3, D.P. 822, being part Section 263, Kaikoura Suburban, situated in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, was taken for a further portion of the South Island Main Trunk Railway (north end) :
And whereas Kaikoura Supply Stores Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, and having its registered office at Kaikoura, is entitled to compensation for its freehold interest in the said area of 2·82 perches :
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Kaikoura Supply Stores Limited, a right-of-way over the said area of 2·82 perches and over areas of 2·28 perches and 0·05 perches, being parts Lot 2, D.P. 822, being part Section 263, Kaikoura Suburban, situated in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid, and to provide a sum of money and to vest in the said Kaikoura Supply Stores Limited, an area of 5·52 perches in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation :
And whereas Kaikoura Supply Stores Limited, has agreed to accept such grant of easement and sum of money and area of 5·52 perches in full satisfaction of the said compensation :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

W. A. Bennett, Corner Tomoana Road and Burnett Street, Hastings, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station and garage premises corner Tomoana Road and Burnett Street, Hastings.
Wilson Elliot, Ltd., Charles Street, Balclutha, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed service-station premises at Charles Street, Balclutha.
W. A. Milligan, Main Road, Kaikoura, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station premises at Main Road, Kaikoura.
J. L. Looson, Waite Street, Featherston, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Waite Street, Featherston.
Waiuku Modern Engineering and Welding Co., Ltd., Bowen Street, Waiuku, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Bowen Street, Waiuku.
International Harvester Co. of N.Z., Ltd., Maclaggan Street, Dunedin, has applied for permission to shift one pump from Maclaggan Street, Dunedin, to a new site outside new premises in Stafford Street, Dunedin.
E. P. Steel, Hauraki Street, Birkenhead, Auckland, has applied for permission to shift four pumps from Hauraki Street, to a new site at the corner of Hauraki Street and Marama Terrace, Birkenhead, Auckland.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 19th April, 1951, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936 (Heretaunga Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 11th day of August, 1931, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 61 on the 20th day of August, 1931, at page 2326, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936), were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

Position : Waituna Trig., lat., 46° 34′·2 S., long., 168°40′·6 E. (approx.). (Chart N.Z. 14).
Abridged Description : Gp. Fl. (2), 15 sec., 62 ft., 13·5 M. (U.).
Details : An unwatched light, electric, showing 2 flashes every 15 secs., thus—flash 0·4 sec. eclipse 2·2 secs., flash 0·4 sec. eclipse 12 secs.—will be exhibited on or about 13th April, 1951, from a white steel tower in a position 3·4 cables 271½° from the above trig., elevation 62 ft., height of tower 40 ft., arc of visibility uninterrupted. Masters of vessels are requested to report on the efficiency of this light.

Abridged Description : Gp. Fl. (2), 8 sec, 170 ft., 19 M.
Details : On or about 24th April, 1951, the above light will be altered to Gp. flashing (2) every 8 secs., thus—1 sec. flash 1 sec. eclipse, 1 sec. flash 5 secs. eclipse. Other characteristics remain unaltered. Masters of vessels are requested to report on the efficiency of the above light.
