NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held in the office of Carr and Stanton, Karamu Road, Hastings, on Thursday, the 15th day of March, 1951, at 5 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE
TAKE notice that David Wylie and John Wylie, of Glenorchy, Miners, and Bessie Emma Wylie and Margaret Jane Wylie, of Glenorchy, Married Women, have made application for a licence for a water-race commencing in the three unnamed creeks running from the summit of Mount Larkins, 4,700 ft. above sea-level, and one mile east of the summit of Mount Larkins in a north-easterly direction across unalienated Crown land in the Glenorchy Survey District to the parcel of Crown land held by the applicants by virtue of Mineral Licence No. 3626 for mining purposes. The term of the proposed licence is 21 years.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN PART OF SECTIONS 28 AND 75 OF THE HUTT DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes, by virtue of the Public Works Act, 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act, 1927, to execute a public work—to wit, the deviation and extension of Pharazyn Street and Stilling Street, in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purposes of such public work the piece of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the piece of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Lower Hutt City Council, corner of High Street and Laings Road, in the City of Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said piece of land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situate as aforesaid.

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt containing four acres three roods two perches (4 acres 3 roods 2 perches), be the same a little more or less, being part of Section 28 of the Hutt District and being also all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 141, folio 143 (Wellington Registry).

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) thereunto enabling, the Inglewood County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal and other charges on the Tarata Bridge Replacement Loan, 1950, of £4,800, authorized to be raised by the Inglewood County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of demolishing the old bridge and constructing a new bridge (including formation, metalling, and sealing of approaches and other works incidental thereto) over the Waitara River at Tarata on the Inglewood–Purangi Main Highway No. 820, the said Inglewood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths pence (³⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Inglewood; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above is an extract from the minutes of the Inglewood County Council in respect of a meeting held by the council on the 12th day of February, 1951.
