THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950.—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 26th day of January, 1951, adjourn the said application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of June, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block II, Hamilton Survey District, containing by admeasurement forty (40) acres twenty (20) perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under number 35271, being parts of Allotments 56, 57, and 75, Te Rapa Parish, and being all of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 906, folio 13 (Auckland Registry).

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950, applies :
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 25th day of January, 1951, adjourn the said application :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the land described in the said First Schedule and the interest of the lessee in the land described in the said Second Schedule are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of May, 1951, as the date on which the land described in the First Schedule and the interest of the lessee in the land described in the said Second Schedule shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land, situated in Block V, Ruakaka Survey District, together containing by admeasurement seven (7) acres two (2) roods seventeen decimal two (17·2) perches, more or less, being Allotments 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, and 156, Mangapai Parish, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 670, folio 198 (Auckland Registry).
Also all those parcels of land situated in Blocks V and VI, Ruakaka Survey District, together containing by admeasurement one hundred and fifty-two (152) acres one (1) rood thirteen decimal seven (13·7) perches, more or less, being parts of Kopuawaiwaha No. 1 Block, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 911, folio 239 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block VI, Ruakaka Survey District, containing by admeasurement thirty-seven (37) acres one (1) rood twenty decimal five (20·5) perches, more or less, being Allotment S.E. 15 and part of Allotment S.E. 14, Mata Parish, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 911, folio 238 (Auckland Registry), limited as to parcels.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks V and VI, Ruakaka Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and sixteen (116) acres three (3) roods twenty-seven (27) perches, more or less, being allotments N.W. 14 and N.W. 15, Mata Parish, and being all the land described in Occupation License with Right of Purchase numbered 5590, comprised in Register Book, Volume 472, folio 62 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block V, Ruakaka Survey District, containing by admeasurement sixty-nine (69) acres twelve (12) perches, more or less, being Allotment 16, Mata Parish, and being all of the land described in Occupation License with Right of Purchase numbered 5824, comprised in Register Book, Volume 486, folio 35 (Auckland Registry).

ALL that parcel of land situated in Block II, Tokatoka Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and three (103) acres one (1) rood fifteen (15) perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 21, Arapohue Parish, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 757, folio 175 (Auckland Registry), limited as to parcels.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block II, Tokatoka Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and fifty-seven (157) acres thirty decimal seven (30·7) perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 3, and 5 on Deposited Plan 23854, being part of Allotment 13, Arapohue Parish, and being the balance of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 633, folio 226 (Auckland Registry), and being all of the land described in Memorandum of Lease numbered 14937.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XI, Waipakura Survey District, for a Maori School
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Maori School—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Wanganui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 9 acres 3 roods 32 perches.
Being part Pukenui No. 1 and closed road.
Situated in Block XI, Waipakura Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133435, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Exemption From Warrant of Fitness Requirements
PURSUANT to the Traffic Regulations, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby exempt from the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, motor-vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Motor vehicles used exclusively as part of the armament or equipment of His Majesty’s Naval, Military, or Air Forces, and being armoured vehicles of the self-laying-track type.
