Revoking a Proclamation Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the
Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard
Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the 13th
day of January, 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
on the 20th day of January, at page 47, declaring certain parts of
New Zealand to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said
Act, and assigning to the said district the name “Horouta Tribal
District.”

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of February, 1951.

Defining the Middle-line of Portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki
Railway (Stewart’s Gully Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
middle line of portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (Stewart’s
Gully Deviation) shall be that defined and set forth in the
Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point in Reserve 1250, Block III, Christchurch
Survey District, the said point being at about 8 miles 77 chains
78 links on the existing Addington to Hurunui section of the
Hurunui-Waitaki Railway; thence proceeding in a northerly
direction generally for a distance of approximately 2 miles 48 chains
87 links; and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands,
&c., viz.: Reserve 1250 (Hurunui-Waitaki Railway), part Reserve
1360 (balance C.T. 464/40), part Reserve 2695 (balance C.T.
134/194), parts Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 9273, being parts Rural Sections
2379 and 2453 (balance C.T. 425/227), Rural Section 37240 and
parts Rural Sections 2379 and 2453 (C.T. 435/125), Rural Section
37593 (C.T. 523/7), all in Block III, Christchurch Survey District,
part Rural Section 36997 (balance C.T. 389/59), in Block III,
Christchurch Survey District, and Block XV, Rangiora Survey
District, Rural Section 37592 (C.T. 523/7, again), Rural Section
36965 (C.T. 397/26), Rural Section 37594 (C.T. 523/8), Rural
Section 4900 (C.T. 414/26, Ltd.), Rural Section 37428, being
Section I, Kaikainui Farm Settlement, D.P. 13551 (C.T. 511/242),
part Rural Section 468 (C.T. 394/82, Ltd.), part Rural Section 468
again (C.T. 394/92, Ltd.), all in Block XV, Rangiora Survey
District, and terminating at a point at about 11 miles 46 chains
65 links, on the existing Addington to Hurunui section of the
Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, in the Borough of Kaiapoi; including
all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets,
tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: All in the
Canterbury Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan
marked L.O. 10658 (3 sheets), deposited in the office of the
Minister of Railways at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of February, 1951.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of an aerodrome (Homer
Beacon); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 26th day of February, 1951.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 5 acres 1 rood
1 perch.

Being part Section 13.

Situated in Block VIII, Papakaio Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133447, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto
is hereby taken for a pleasure-ground and shall vest in the Howick
Town Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the 26th day of February, 1951.


FIRST SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 acres 1 rood
33 perches.

Being part northern portion Allotment 11 of Section 7 of Small
Lots near the Village of Howick.

Situated in Block IV, Otahuhu Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 35425.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133416,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
