WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000) for the purpose of erecting Swimming Baths, authorized to be raised under the above-mentioned Act, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·4d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipukurau (on the basis of the unimproved value) and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at the meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council held on the 20th day of February, 1950.

UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1926
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Naseby.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned James Gavin McAtamney, of Middlemarch, Farmer, hereby applies for a licence for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 22nd November, 1950, at 11 a.m.
Date and number of miner’s right: 22nd November, 1950, No. 88162.

LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise: Commencing in Lug Creek, in Section 17, Block II, Strath-Taieri District, running thence easterly across Bennet Road; thence through Sections 21 and 11, Block II, Strath-Taieri District; thence across Cromwell-Dunedin Railway; thence southerly through Section 22, Block II, Strath-Taieri District, terminating in Section 10, Block V, Strath-Taieri District.
Length and intended course of race: ¾ of a mile easterly to railway, thence southerly.
Points of intake: One—in Lug Creek.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Three days—£20.
Mean depth and breadth: 9 inches deep by 12 inches wide.
Number of heads to be diverted: One.
Purpose for which water is to be used: irrigation and domestic.
Proposed term of licence: 21 years.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that by special resolution passed in pursuance of the provisions of section 300 of the said Act on the 15th day of December, 1950, it was resolved by the above-mentioned company as follows:—
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That HERBERT MOSS NEWTON, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
