WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1950
Declaring Land in Taranaki and Southland Land Districts, Vested in the Auckland and Southland Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in His Majesty the King
Section 5, Block II, Centre Hill Survey District : Area, 3 roods and 5 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 1955.)
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 4-3 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, at Invercargill, under No. 1381, being part Section 9, Block II, Centre Hill Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 96, folio 228 (Southland Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/962, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

A PROCLAMATION WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Pro-
clamation declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in His Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1950.

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Southland Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT SECTION 8, Block II, Aria Survey District : Area, 9 acres 3 roods, more or less. (S.O. plan 2861.) (L. and S. H.O. 6/6/975 ; D.O. 8/5.)
SECOND SCHEDULE SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT ALL that area containing by admeasurement a total of 3 roods, more or less, being Lots 20, 21, and 22, Block VIII, on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, at Invercargill, under No. 12, being part Section 1, Block III, Invercargill Hundred, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificates of Title, Volume 145, folio 266, and Volume 120, folio 147 (Southland Registry). (L. and S. H.O. 6/6/973 ; D.O. 8/181.) A Crown Land in South Auckland Land District Set Apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919 [L.S.] B. C. IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 9 of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-WHAKATANE COUNTY ALL that area situated in Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 28-8 perches, more or less, being Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, Town of Edgecumbe. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/1009A, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1950.
