Alterations to the Scale of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government
Railways
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under
the Government Railways Act, 1949, and of all other powers
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Stanley Goosman, Minister
of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations to the General
Scale of Charges made on the 13th day of April, 1939, and published
in the Supplement dated the 19th day of April, 1939, to the New
Zealand Gazette of the 13th day of April, 1939, in force on the New
Zealand Government Railways open for traffic.
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES
The following alterations to the General Scale of Charges shall come
into force on the 1st day of January, 1951
GENERAL
- Refunds and Adjustments on Freights
Paragraph 1 : Omit this paragraph and substitute the following :-
- Except where a special arrangement is entered into, a commission of 5 per
cent. will be charged on all amounts collected by the Department on behalf of
express companies and forwarding agents, motor and steamship companies,
picnic parties, racing or sports clubs, or any other persons or bodies. Minimum
charge, 7d.

Paragraph 4 : Omit the words “Saturdays and Sundays and days on which goods
traffic is not worked will be treated as dies non” and substitute the following :
“Sundays and days on which goods traffic is not worked will be treated as
dies non.”

Classification of Roads in Eyre County
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-vehicle
Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby alter
the Eyre County Council's proposed classification of the roads
described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Eyre County and
doth hereby approve such altered classification as described in the
said Schedule.

Taumarunui County and doth hereby approve such altered
