Closing as a Customs Port of Entry
Details: Owing to lack of shipping it has been decided to close Hokitika as a port of entry under the Customs Act as from 1st December, 1950. Masters of vessels intending to use the port should notify the Collector of Customs, Greymouth.

Position: Takataka (Akuao Rock) at northern end of narrows.
Details: The characteristic of the above light has been altered to flashing every ten seconds, flash 0·4 seconds, other characteristics remain unaltered.

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following amending Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1198, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1072* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 7th day of December, 1950.

The First Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting the figures “4s. 9d.”, “5s. 0d.”, “5s. 3d.”, “3s. 9d.”, “4s. 0d.” and “4s. 3d.” where they appear in the third column with respect to children’s imported footwear and substituting the following figures “6s. 3d.”, “7s. 0d.”, “7s. 6d.”, “5s. 3d.”, “5s. 9d.”, and “6s. 3d.” respectively.
Dated at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1950.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1949, as permanent State forest land.

NORTH AUCKALND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Whangaroa County, containing by admeasurement 80 acres, more or less, situated in Block XIII, Kaeo Survey District, being Allotment S.E. 132, Parish of Pupuke, and being the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 516, folio 121. As the same is delineated on plan No. 5/46, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 813.)
