Result of Poll for Proposed Loan
Wellington, 30th November, 1950.
THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Chairman of the Buller Electric-power Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BULLER ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Buller Electric-power Board District taken on Saturday, 18th November, 1950, on the proposal of the Buller Electric-power Board to borrow the sum of £197,000 for the purpose of :—
(a) The purchase of the Mines Department’s old and newly constructed lines, £29,000.
(b) The meeting of the liability to the Mines Department taken over from the Westport Borough Council, £5,000.
(c) The construction of new works and lines and increase in capacity of existing lines as apart from Karamea, £38,300.
(d) The purchase or construction of buildings, and purchase of miscellaneous plant and equipment, £25,700.
(e) The construction and equipment of water-driven electric-power generating works at Karamea, £75,000.
(f) The purchase of materials for and the construction of electric-reticulation lines to service the Karamea area, £24,000.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise Wainui-O-Mata Bridge Loan, 1950, £4,000
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers, whose properties are included in the No. 47 Special Rating Area (portion of the Wainui-O-Mata Riding), was taken on the 18th day of November, 1950, on the proposal of the Hutt County Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the Wainui-O-Mata Bridge Loan 1950, for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of widening a bridge and replacing three bridges and a culvert on the Wainui-O-Mata Main Highway No. 899 :—

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Hat Band : Mid-grey 1¾ in. wide.
Socks : Mid-grey, on turnover one ½in. royal blue horizontal band between two ¼ in. white bands each ¼ in. from the royal blue band.

On a mid-grey shield edged with royal blue the monogram “ N. I. S.” ; the letter “ I ” in white and the letters “ N ” and “ S ” in royal blue.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 14th December, 1950, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
