Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Pharmacy Industry
J. S. Francis, 25A Clarence Street, Devonport, has applied for a
licence to operate a new pharmacy at 191 Cameron Road, Tauranga.
C. Weston Taylor, 36 Victoria Street, Pukekohe, has applied for
a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 168 Great South Road,
Manurewa.
D. H. A. Harper, 550 Great South Road, Auckland, has applied
for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Station Road, Penrose,
Auckland.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
B. J. Rhodes, Main Road, Greytown, has applied for a licence
to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage
premises at Main Road, Greytown.
J. Hanham, Waipapa, has applied for a licence to resell motor-
spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station and garage
premises at Waipapa.
F. W. James, Bedford Street, Patea, has applied for a licence
to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service,
station and garage premises at Bedford Street, Patea.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 23rd November, 1950,
submit any written evidence and representations they may desire
to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary,
Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to and in exercise of the
powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial
Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, the registration of the
Northern Coal Mine Workers’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered
number 1282, situated at Huntly, will, unless cause to the contrary
be shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date
of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister
of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of New Lynn,
is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF NEW LYNN
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I
hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of
New Lynn, taken on the 14th day of October, 1950, on the proposal
of the New Lynn Borough Council to borrow the sum of one
thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of purchasing and
installing a fire alarm system :
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 401
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 95
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister
of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of New Lynn,
is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF NEW LYNN
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I
hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of a defined part of
the Borough designated the “Kelston Special Rating Area” taken
on the 14th day of October, 1950, on the proposal of the New Lynn
Borough Council to borrow the sum of twenty thousand pounds for
the purpose of providing a sewerage system for such area, being
that portion of the County of Waitemata which was added to the
New Lynn Town District when the district was constituted a borough
in the year 1929 :-
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 331
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 169
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

of the New Lynn Borough Council to borrow the sum of forty-eight
thousand seven hundred pounds for the purpose of extending the
sewerage system in the original Town District Area and extending
and enlarging the water reticulation system :-

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 357
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 143
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

of the New Lynn Borough Council to borrow the sum of one hundred
and thirty-four thousand pounds for the purpose of constructing
certain streets and footpaths in the borough to permanent levels
including kerbing and channelling, bitumen sealed carriageways,
bitumen sealed or concrete footpaths, and providing stormwater
drainage :-

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 339
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 163
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
