Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £64,550 by the Motueka Borough Council and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Motueka Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the terms of a requisition issued under section 22 of the Health Act, 1920, to raise a loan of sixty-four thousand five hundred and fifty pounds (£64,550) to be known as “ Drainage Loan, 1950 ” (hereinafter called the said loan), to provide sewerage works for the purpose of collecting and disposing sewage in the Borough of Motueka :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of sixty-four thousand five hundred and fifty pounds (£64,550) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed thirty-two (32) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no instalments shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £2,500 by the Westland Catchment Board and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Westland Catchment Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section 30 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, to borrow the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) by a loan to be known as “ Additional Plant Loan, 1950 ” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of meeting the additional cost of purchase of two tractors :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be eight (8) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Takaka Town Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section 49 of the Fire Services Act, 1949, to borrow the sum of five hundred pounds (£500) by a loan to be known as “ Fire Station Loan, 1950 ” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of meeting the cost of erection of a new fire-station at Takaka and the installation of an alarm system :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of five hundred pounds (£500) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

WHEREAS the Kumara Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of one thousand six hundred and sixty-six pounds (£1,666) by a loan to be known as “ Taramakau River Bridge Loan, 1950 ” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of repairing the Taramakau River Bridge on the Kumara–Haupiri Junction Main Highway :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of one thousand six hundred and sixty-six pounds (£1,666) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be ten (10) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
