Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the part of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said Act, and do hereby assign to the said district the name Wharekauri Tribal District.

WHAREKAURI TRIBAL DISTRICT
All that area comprising the Chatham Islands County as constituted by the Chatham Islands County Act, 1901.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of November, 1950.

Crown Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 18 of the Forests Act, 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.-SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
All those areas in the Southland Land District, Southland and Clutha Counties, containing by admeasurement 14,861 acres, more or less, and described generally as follows:-
All that area containing by admeasurement 4,086 acres, more or less, being Lot 7 on D.P. 3410 (Invercargill Land Registry), and being parts of Runs 161 and 162, situated in Blocks VI, VII, and VIII, Slopedown Survey District, and Block II, Mokoreta Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 3,488 acres, more or less, being Lot 5 on D.P. 3412 (Invercargill Land Registry), and being part of Run 162, situated in Blocks I, II, IV, and V,
Rimu Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2,127 acres, more or less, being Lot 6 on D.P. 3411 (Invercargill Land Registry), and being part of Run 162, situated in Blocks III and VI, Mokoreta Survey District, and Blocks I and IV, Rimu Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 5,160 acres, more or less, being Run 74, situated in Block XI, Wyndham Survey District, and Blocks IV, VIII, IX, and X, Mokoreta Survey District, and parts of Sections 31 and 32, Block IV, Mokoreta Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 217/13, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of November, 1950.

Crown Land and Provisional State Forest Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 18 of the Forests Act, 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land and provisional State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
All those areas in the South Auckland Land District, Kawhia and Otorohanga Counties, containing approximately 505 acres and 32 perches, being provisional State forest (445 acres 1 rood 32 perches, New Zealand Gazette 1947, page 982), and Crown land (59 acres 3 roods), and being Sections 17, 19, and 20, Block VI, Pirongia Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on plans Nos. 36/7 and 36/12, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (South Auckland plans S.O. 32396, S.O. 33038, and S.O. 34988.)
