Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in Block VI, Kumeu Survey District, for Sand-dune Reclamation

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for sand-dune reclamation; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Helensville and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of additional land required to be taken:—

Situated in Block VI, Kumeu Survey District (Auckland R.D.).

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132568, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road in Blocks III and IV, Tokomaru Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tokomaru Bay and there is open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 6 acres 27 perches.

Being part Mangahauini No. 7, Section 137.

Situated in Blocks III and IV, Tokomaru Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 4439.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127209, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 15 of the Forests Act, 1949, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for State forest purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Sefton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 15 acres.

Being part Rural Section 5138.

Situated in Block X, Grey Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8116.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 130902, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Public Trust Office: Appointment of Agent at Queenstown

IT is notified for public information that Mr. James W. Miller has been appointed to the position of Agent of the Public Trust Office at Queenstown.

Notice by the Public Trustee Under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), and its Amendments

WHEREAS Thomas Harvey Rodda, of Cobden, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Labourer, is the owner of the property described in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is not known where the said Thomas Harvey Rodda is or whether he is alive or dead: And whereas the said Thomas Harvey Rodda has no known agent in New Zealand with authority to take possession of and administer such property: And whereas by an Order of a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand made on the 11th day of October, 1950, pursuant to the provisions of section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as amended by section 36 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1913, and by section 21 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, the Public Trustee was authorized to exercise in respect of the property of the said Thomas Harvey Rodda all or any of the powers contained in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (e), (f), (g), (h), (j), and (k) of subsection (1) of the said section 87: And whereas it is provided by section 89 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, that on taking possession of any property under Part III of the said Act the Public Trustee shall publish in the New Zealand Gazette and in some newspaper circulating in the district where the property is situated a notice of his intention to exercise the powers conferred upon him by virtue of Part III of the said Act: Now the Public Trustee hereby gives notice of his intention to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said Order of a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee Under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its Amendments

To the owner or the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land containing 1 rood 12 perches and three-tenths of a perch (1r. 12·3 p.), more or less, being Lot 25 on Deeds Plan Number 20 and being part Section 35, Block IX, on the public maps of the Opunake Survey District, being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 134, folio 59, Taranaki Registry, and being all the land comprised in Conveyance Number 45639, dated the 3rd day of March, 1922, from Louisa Beatrice Whittington, of Opunake, Married Woman, to Michael Bowler, of Opunake, Painter.

WHEREAS after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described land cannot be found: and whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand:

Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if he fails or neglects so to do, the Public Trustee will exercise as regards the said land the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

R. L. McNee, Wansbeck Street Extension, Oamaru, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from six pumps to be installed on service-station and garage premises at Wansbeck Street Extension, Oamaru.

Brenan and Co., Ltd., corner of Belmont Road and William Street, Paeroa, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station and garage premises at the corner of Belmont Road and Williams Street, Paeroa.

A. H. Wright, Main Helensville Highway, Kumeu, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station and garage premises at Main Helensville Highway, Kumeu.

W. R. T. Little, Orini, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Orini.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 16th November, 1950, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
