IT is hereby notified that the order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder has been made by the Maori Land Court under the provisions of the Maori Land Act, 1931.

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Pahiatua, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Pahiatua, taken on the 23rd day of August, 1950, on the proposal of the Borough Council to borrow the sum of four thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of building a women’s rest room, constructing, kerbing, channelling, and sealing approximately 154 chains of footpaths in the Borough (including portion of southern end of Main Street), forming and sealing paths in two of the Garden Squares, enlarging the outlet of the Huxley Street drain, and making any other Borough capital improvements.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 158
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 15
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
