Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at New Plymouth

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the New Plymouth City Council, and shall be maintained by the said council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said council.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10503, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of October, 1950.

Land Held for a Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Maunganui Bluff—Te Puke Section) Set Apart for Police Purposes (Residence) in the Borough of Mount Maunganui

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 47 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto now held for a portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Maunganui Bluff—Te Puke Section) is hereby set apart for police purposes (residence); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 30th day of October, 1950.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart : 1 rood 9·5 perches. Being part railway land in Proclamation 3237.
Situated in Block VII, Tauranga Survey District (Borough of Mount Maunganui) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 34708.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132424, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of October, 1950.

Land Taken for a Police-station in the City of Wanganui

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a police-station; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 30th day of October, 1950.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 39·96 perches. Being Lot 2, D.P. 4776, being part Section 10, Right Bank, Wanganui River, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 317, folio 183 (Wellington Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of October, 1950.
