Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Road in Block VII, Ikitara Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway and is not now required for such purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Wanganui County Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with : 1 rood 4 perches. Being part Section 126A, Left Bank, Wanganui River.
Situated in Block VII, Ikitara Survey District. (S.O. 20460.)
In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 109390, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of October, 1950.

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was acquired for the Kawakawa Railway and is not now required for such purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Bay of Islands County Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Situated in Block XII, Kawakawa Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 35635.)
In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132320, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1950
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 29th day of September, 1948, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 30th day of that month, the control of the land described in the Schedule to that document, being a reserve for a site for a public hall and library, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Waitaanga Public Hall and Library Board, in pursuance of section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 :
And whereas it is desirable that Verdun Leonard Till, and George William Hagenson, should be appointed members of the said Board in place of Alfred James Baker, deceased, and Edward Arthur Thorburn, resigned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said
Verdun Leonard Till, and
George William Hagenson,
to be members of the Waitaanga Public Hall and Library Board, constituted by the Order in Council dated the 29th day of September, 1948, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Alfred James Baker, deceased, and Edward Arthur Thorburn, resigned.
