THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Mosgiel, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

Notice of Result of Poll

PURSUANT to section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Mosgiel taken on the 20th day of September, 1950, on the proposal of the Mosgiel Borough Council to borrow the sum of sixty-five thousand pounds (£65,000) for providing improvements and extensions to the drainage, sewerage and water reticulation systems, tar sealing roads, effecting street improvements, and purchasing a truck.

Votes.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 217
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 97
The number of informal votes was .. .. .. 4

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Defining Lands in North Auckland Land District (Ototoa Farm Settlement) to which Water is Supplied Pursuant to Section 50 of the Land Act, 1948

IT is hereby notified in pursuance of subsection 6 of section 50 of the Land Act, 1948, that the lands defined in the Schedule hereto are lands to which water is supplied under the said section.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1,561 acres and 24·6 perches, more or less, being Allotments 42 to 54 (inclusive), 57 and 58, Parish of Waioneke. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/1437, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
