MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments,
the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal and interest
charges on a loan of £79,600, authorized to be raised by special
order pursuant to an Order in Council published in the New Zealand
Gazette on 15th June, 1950, at page 769, for the purpose of redeeming
certain securities issued under authority of the Matamata County
Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), the Matamata County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventeen thirty-
seconds of a penny (¹⁷⁄₃₂d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the
County of Matamata (except those areas transferred to the said
County on the 1st day of April, 1947, as described in the First
Schedule published in the New Zealand Gazette at page 330, on the
20th March, 1947, and on the 1st day of April, 1950, as described
in the First Schedules published in the New Zealand Gazette at
pages 274 and 277, on the 16th March, 1950), and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six
(6) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract
from the minutes of proceedings of the Matamata County Council
at a meeting held on Thursday, 14th September, 1950.

HAKATAREAMEA VALLEY RABBIT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Moved by Mr. D. G. Matheson
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hakataramea
Valley Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,850, being the first issue of the Housing
Loan, 1949, £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Hakataramea
Valley Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purchase of houses for the Board’s employees, the said Hakataramea
Valley Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
three hundred and nineteen one-thousandths (0·319) of a penny
upon each acre in the whole of the Hakataramea Valley Rabbit
District, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day
of October and the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”
Seconded by Mr. W. J. Smith, and carried.
We, J. L. Parsons and C. C. Gillies, Chairman and Secretary
respectively of the Hakataramea Valley Rabbit Board, certify that
the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the
Board held in the library, Kurow, on the 14th day of September,
1950, at the hour of 2 o’clock in the afternoon, and that the said
resolution has been published in the New Zealand Gazette under
No. 60, on the 21st day of September, 1950, at page 1773.

Notice of General Meeting Under Provisions of Section 232
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the members
of the company will be held in the office of the liquidator,
20 Crawford Street, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 4th day of
October, 1950, at 10.30 o’clock a.m.
Business—
(1) To receive the liquidator’s statement of account showing
how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the
company disposed of.
(2) To direct the liquidator by extraordinary resolution as
to the disposal of the books and papers of the company.

THE following resolution was passed at a meeting of shareholders
of the above company, held on 5th September, 1950 :—
Resolved—
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That WARD INGERSOLL MULLER, of the City of Lower Hutt,
Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the
company for the purpose of winding up the affairs and distributing
the assets of the company, and that he be paid the usual remuneration
for his services.”

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Flume Reconstruction Loan, 1948, of £4,800
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Oamaru Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows :—
“That for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal,
interest, and other charges on the loan of £4,800 authorized to be
raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of the reconstruction of the fluming of the Oamaru
Borough Water Race at Frew’s Gully in the County of Waitaki,
and the provision of all plant and materials, machinery, labour
and other things necessary for the work of such reconstruction,
the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred
and eleven one-thousandths of a penny (·111d.) in the pound on the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Borough of Oamaru and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable annually on the 1st day of July in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses
of the Borough of Oamaru was hereunto affixed at the office of and
pursuant to the resolution of the Oamaru Borough Council in the
presence of—
