Consenting to Stopping Portion of Road in Block III, Drury Survey District, Franklin County

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby consent to the Franklin County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 2 roods 1·2 perches.

Adjoining part Lot 4, D.P. 8046, and Lot 1, D.P. 26481, being parts Allotment 11, Opaheke Parish.

Situated in Block III, Drury Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 31133.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132314, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Fixing the Date and Places for Payment of Social Security Charge Payable by Companies

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him under the Social Security Act, 1938, and the Social Security Contribution (Companies) Regulations 1943, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the social security charge payable by any company on its chargeable income for the income year ended on the 31st day of March, 1950, shall be paid in one sum on Thursday, the 1st day of February, 1951.

And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority as aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the said social security charge shall be payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office, and that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the Commissioner of Taxes accordingly.

Fixing the Dates and Places for Payment of Land-tax and Income-tax

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the respective duties leviable under the said Acts by way of land-tax and income-tax shall be paid on the days and dates set forth hereunder:—

Land-tax under section 2 of the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1950: In one sum on Thursday, the 28th day of September, 1950.

Income-tax under section 3 of the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1950: In one sum on Thursday, the 8th day of February, 1951.

And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the said duties of land-tax and income-tax shall be payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office, and that notice to the aforegoing effect shall be given by the Commissioner of Taxes accordingly.

Revoking a Licence Authorizing Henry James Topliss and Randall Henry Topliss, of Inchbonnie, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensees, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the 13th day of May, 1935, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 16th day of the same month at page 1308, authorizing Henry James Topliss and Randall Henry Topliss, of Inchbonnie, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Kaikoura, Marlborough Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a literary institute:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a site for a literary institute to a reserve for recreation purposes.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 3·9 perches, more or less, situated in Block XI, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and being part Section 414, Town of Kaikoura. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/312G, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Kaikoura County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1950

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for a site for a literary institute and is vested, in trust, in the Kaikoura County Council:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Kaikoura County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) of section 10 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Kaikoura County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
