THE HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Hawera Borough Council Improvements Loan, 1949 (£20,000)

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the said Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of improving the existing sewerage system and streets and of providing plant, fittings, material, and other requisites for servicing streets and reserves and including payments incidental to or in relation to such purposes, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eighty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (⁸⁸⁄₁₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hawera Borough Council on the 21st day of August, 1950.

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP RESOLUTIONS

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed on the 13th day of June, 1950, by entry in the minute-book as provided for by section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933:—

“Resolved as an extraordinary resolution that the company cannot by virtue of its liabilities continue in business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up.

“Resolved that JACK BENJAMIN HINDIN, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
