WHOLESALE prices for apples and pears will be made known
to the wholesale trade by the methods of public advertising
and circular. It is the intention of the Board to advertise details
of alterations, if any, to wholesale prices of apples and pears in the

Alteration in Light

Position: Steeple Rock light: Lat., 41° 19′·5 S.; long., 174°
50′·8 E. (approx.).

Details: On the night of 8th September, 1950, the arc of
visibility of the above light will be altered as follows: Green from
133°, through south to 189°, thence red through west to 349°. All
other characteristics of the light remain unaltered.

Charts Affected: 1423, 695, 2054, 3629.

Land Declared an Infected Place Under the Stock Act, 1908 (Notice
No. Ag. 4906)

NOTICE if hereby given that, as anthrax has been determined
to exist among stock on the land described in the Schedule
hereto, the said land has been declared to be an infected place in
pursuance of section 12 of the Stock Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 141 acres 3 roods 9·4 perches,
more or less, being part of Lot 10, Deposited Plan No. 9747, of
Allotments 7, 8, and 9, of Tamahere Parish, situated in Block VII,
Hamilton Survey District.

Exempted Goods (Control of Prices) Notice 1950, No. 12

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price
Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of
Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following Order:—

  1. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of
    September, 1950.

  2. Price Order No. 1149* and every approval given under
    section 16 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, relating to the
    sale of tea is hereby revoked. This revocation shall be deemed
    to have come into force prior to the coming into force of the
    exemption referred to in clause 3 of this notice.

  3. Pursuant to section 18 of the Control of Prices Act,
    1947, the Price Tribunal hereby gives notice that tea is
    exempt from the provisions of Part III of the Control of
    Prices Act, 1947.

Dated at Wellington, this 31st day of August, 1950.
