Officers Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section
301 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the
persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being
officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated
opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized
to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301
of the Justices of the Peace, Act 1927.

Temp. Brigadier L. M. Inglis, C.B.E., D.S.O., M.C., V.D., is
posted to the Retired List with the rank of Major-General. Dated
16th August, 1950.
Major (temp. Brigadier) D. E. Bremner, M.C., is posted to the
Retired List, with the rank of Brigadier. Dated 16th August, 1950.

Territorial Force-
Major B. G. MacAvoy, 3rd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 3rd Field Regiment,
R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Major, with seniority from 4th September,
1947. Dated 11th August, 1950.
Captain (temp. Major) R. W. Sharp, E.D., lst Field Regiment,
R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List,
The Royal New Zealand Artillery, with the rank of Major, with
seniority from 13th March, 1940. Dated 20th June, 1950.
Temp. Captain L. J. Cornwell, lst Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. L. S. Low to be Major and remains
seconded to the Christchurch West High School Cadets. Dated

Lieutenant F. G. Howe, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental
List, The Canterbury Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority
from 9th September, 1946, and is posted to the 1st Battalion.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) T. D. Duffy, ceases to be
seconded to the Otago Boy's High School Cadets and resigns his
