A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Defining the Middle-line of a Transmission-line in Block VIII Waitohu Survey District ; viz., the Bunnythorpe-Haywards 220 kV Transmission-line (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme)

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 43 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of that part of the Bunnythorpe-Haywards 220 kV Transmission-line (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme) proposed to be constructed under the authority of an Order in Council dated the 13th day of March, 1940, made pursuant to section 311 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 14th day of the same month, in Block VIII, Waitohu Survey District, shall be the line defined and described in the Schedule hereto; and I hereby define as being land upon and in respect of which it is intended to exercise the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and by any other Act in respect of the erection, maintenance, and use of the said transmission-line, all the land situated within four chains on each side of the middle-line hereby defined.
SCHEDULE
A LINE commencing at a point in Lot 9, D.P. 3364, being part Church Mission and School Grant in Block VIII, Waitohu Survey District, and 80 links south-east from the northern corner of the aforesaid Lot 9, along the Tasman Road frontage, proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 73 chains 70 links, and passing over or upon the following lands viz.: Lots 9 and 8, D.P. 3364, being part of Church Mission and School Grant in Block VIII, Waitohu Survey District, Whakarangirangi 29N 7, Te Kahikatea Block, Te Puna No. 7, Tutangatakino 6A, Lots 1, 5, and 4, D.P. 13970, being part Maungapiharau Block, and Lot 1, D.P. 6893, being part Rereke Nos. 1, 2, and 18, all in Block VIII, Waitohu Survey District, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the Land District of Wellington; as the same is delineated X-Y on the plan marked P.W.D. 131474, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

A LINE commencing at the mid-point of the north-eastern boundary of Ngarara West A 31B in Block IX, Kaitawa Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 43 chains 40 links and passing over or upon the following lands, viz.: Ngarara West A 31B, A 31A, A 32B, A 32A, Lot 9, D.P. 14362, being part Ngarara West A 30A, Ngarara West A 29, A 22A, A 22B, A 22C, and A 21 and terminating at a point on the southern boundary of and 1½ chains from the south-eastern corner of Ngarara West A 21, aforesaid : all in Block IX, Kaitawa Survey District, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses. All in the Wellington Land District; as the same is delineated X-Y on the plan marked P.W.D. 131473, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of August, 1950.
