Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with a right-of-way over the piece of land coloured red on Certificate of Title, Volume 29, folio 207, Nelson Land Registry, and leading into Hardy Street, being taken for broadcasting purposes (studio).
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 23 perches.
Being part Section 445, on the plan of the City of Nelson, and being also all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 29, folio 207, Nelson Land Registry.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the portion of road declared to be Government road: 2 acres 1 rood 9·5 perches.
Adjoining or passing through parts Section 59 (Scenic Reserve) and parts Section 58.

Authorizing the Waitaki Electric-power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines in Part of the Waimate County

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of August, 1950

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Waitaki Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of section 76 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, subject to the said conditions, doth hereby authorize the licensee to construct and maintain the said electric works.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 21st day of November, 1967.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (c), (d), (e), and (f) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The primary distribution voltage shall be 11,000 volts between phases.
SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described within that part of the Waitaki Electric-power District described in the schedule to the Proclamation dated the 25th day of March, 1950, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 30th day of the same month at page 331, the electric lines at present proposed to be erected and used being shown by means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 118, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Amending a Licence Authorizing the Strongman Electric Supply Company, Limited, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in Portion of the County of Coromandel

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 7th day of January, 1942, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 8th day of the same month, at page 9, authorizing John George Strongman, of Coromandel, Mechanical Engineer, to erect and use certain electric lines in portion of the County of Coromandel, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to the Strongman Electric Supply Company, Limited, by the Order in Council dated the 29th day of March, 1944, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 5th day of April, 1944, at page 343.
SCHEDULE
CLAUSE 6 of the Conditions is deleted and the following clause is substituted therefor:—
“6. Charges on Sale
“The charges for electricity supplied for all purposes shall not exceed the following amounts:—
“Domestic Consumers—
“First 30 units per month: 10d. per unit.
“Units in excess of 30 per month: 5d. per unit.
“Commercial Consumers—
“All units: 6d. per unit.
“In addition to the foregoing charges, the licensee may make, in respect of both domestic and commercial consumers, a minimum charge of 7s. 6d. per month.
“Payment shall not be demanded from any consumer at intervals of less than 21 days apart.”

Badcock, of Longford, Nelson, Farmer, by Hartley Sagar, of Longford, Nelson, Farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 13th day of July, 1938, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 14th day of the same month at page 1648, authorizing him to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect certain electric lines.
