The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to Take Land and an Interest in Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, as
extended by the provisions of section 2 of the Servicemen's Settle-
ment and Land Sales Amendment Act, 1948, hereby gives notice of
his intention to take, under Part II of the said Act, the lands
described in the First Schedule hereto, and the interest of the lessee
or licensee in the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, and
specifies the 1st day of June, 1950, as the date on which possession
of the lands described in the said First and Second Schedules is
required, and the 31st day of August, 1950, as the date on or before
which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two hundred
(200) acres, more or less, being Section 11, Block X, Wharekawa
Survey District, and being all of the land described in Certificate
of Title, Volume 910, folio 77 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one
hundred and twenty-two (122) acres three (3) roods thirty-six (36)
perches, more or less, being Section 11, Block VII, Piako Survey
District, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title,
Volume 726, folio 252 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block III, Piako Survey
District, containing by admeasurement three (3) acres two (2) roods
twenty-eight decimal three (28·3) perches, more or less, being part
Waitakaruru No. 1a No. 1a Block, and being all of the land described
in Certificate of Title, Volume 660, folio 162 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block III, Piako Survey
District, and Block IX, Wharekawa Survey District, containing by
admeasurement one hundred and fifteen (115) acres two (2) roods
four (4) perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 25346,
being part Waitakaruru No. 2b Block, and being all of the land
described in Certificate of Title, Volume 661, folio 73 (Auckland
Registry).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred
and eighty-two (182) acres three (3) roods ten (10) perches, more
or less, being Section 14, Block VII, Piako Survey District, and
being all of the land described in the Deferred Payment Licence
comprised in Register Book, Volume 811, folio 15 (Auckland
Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Revocation
of Notice of Intention to Take Land
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen's
Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of
the intention of the Minister of Lands to take, under Part II of the
said Act, the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy
of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62
on the 2nd day of December, 1948, at page 1490 :
And whereas an objection was made by the owner of the said
land in the manner prescribed by the said Act, objecting to the
taking of the said land :
And whereas the Minister of Lands has decided not to proceed
with action to take the said land :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
subsection (4) of section 24 of the said Act, doth hereby revoke the
notice of intention to take the said land.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block I, Kopuru Survey District,
containing by admeasurement five hundred and seventy-nine (579)
acres three (3) roods thirteen decimal eight (13·8) perches, more or
less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 30093, and part of the land on
Deposited Plan 14756, being part of Aoroa Block, and being all the
land in Certificate of Title, Volume 782, folio 145 (Auckland
Registry), subject to an agreement for fencing contained in Transfer
182858.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Post and Telegraph Purposes
(Postmaster's Residence), in Block VIII, Tokomaru Survey
District
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public
work—to wit, the construction of a postmaster's residence; and for
the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given
that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
post-office at Tokomaru Bay and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood.
Being Part Tuatini Maori Township, Section 5A, Block II.
Situated in Block VIII, Tokomaru Survey District (Gisborne
R.D.).
In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131957, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.

Declaring Trailer Units Forming Part of a Multi-axled Motor-vehicle
to be Trailers
PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 2 of the Transport
Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby determine
that the three vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto, each forming
part of a multi-axled vehicle as defined by subsection (1) of section
2 of the said Act, shall be deemed to be trailers.
SCHEDULE
THREE trailer units, Chassis Nos. T. 12270, T. 12271, and T. 12272
respectively, owned by Bitumix Limited.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the
persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor
in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the
respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule,
but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen
years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
