Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 18 of the Forests Act, 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, and being Section 12, Block X, Waipori Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 215/15, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Otago plan S.O. 11352.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of August, 1950.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Saddle Hill

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Walton Park Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Taieri County Council, and shall be maintained by the said council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 8·6 perches.
Being part Walton Park Railway, being part Section 32, Green Island West Survey District.
Situated in Taieri County. (S.O. 9409.)
In the Otago Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.O. 7678, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of August, 1950.
