CHANGE OF SURNAME

I, DECIMA DAWN BELL, of Waipukurau, in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, and Dominion of New Zealand, Spinster, commonly so called but registered in the Office of the Registrar-General of Births for the Dominion of New Zealand as DECIMA DAWN DAVIS, hereby give public notice that on the 24th day of July, 1950, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my surname of DAVIS and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of DECIMA DAWN BELL instead of the name of DECIMA DAWN DAVIS; and I give further notice that by a Deed Poll dated the 24th day of July, 1950, duly executed and attested, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of DAVIS and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of DECIMA DAWN BELL instead of DECIMA DAWN DAVIS and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of DECIMA DAWN BELL.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF A LIBRARY

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council intends to take (in one taking and not severally) under the provisions of the Public Works Act, for the purpose of a library, all the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, together with an easement over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Palmerston North (hereinafter called the Corporation) full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to use such land as a right-of-way with the right for the Corporation, its tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons having business with it (and in common with the owners for the time being of the balance of the lands in Certificate of Title, Volume 407, folio 64 (Wellington Registry), their tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons doing business with such owners), to go, pass, and repass over the said land and to maintain, repair, reconstruct, and keep open the said right-of-way for the purpose of providing access to and beyond the land described in the First Schedule hereto but so that such right-of-way shall be limited to a height extending from the ordinary level of the soil upwards for 8 ft. 9 ins. and such right-of-way shall be appurtenant to the lands described in the First Schedule hereto and to the lands described in the Third Schedule hereto, provided that the right to pass and repass for the Corporation, its tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, and invitees, and persons having business with it shall be by foot only.

A plan of the said lands is deposited at the Public Office of the Palmerston North City Council and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situate in the City of Palmerston North, containing twenty decimal four six perches (20·46 perches), more or less, being part of Section 670, Palmerston North, and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 407, folio 64 (Wellington Registry), and being part of the land described in Memorandum of Lease, registered number 23260, and being bounded as follows:—

Commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of Section 670 with Section 849, thence in a north-westerly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 124·33 links; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 239° 42' 53" for a distance of 40·76 links; thence in a north-westerly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 19·73 links; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance 18·18 links; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 19·73 links; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance of 41·08 links; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 124·33 links; thence in a south-westerly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance of 100·02 links to the point of commencement, and as the same is delineated on the plan, thereon coloured with light blue wash.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situate in the City of Palmerston North, containing two decimal five eight perches (2·58 perches), more or less, being part of Section 670, Palmerston North, and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 407, folio 64 (Wellington Registry), and being part of the land described in Memorandum of Lease, registered number 23260, and being bounded as follows:—

Commencing on a point on the north-western boundary with the square on Section 670, the said point being 42·31 links north-east of the north-western corner of the said Section 670; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance of 15·07 links along a public street; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 100·01 links; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance of 1·56 links; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 6·06 links; thence in a south-westerly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance of 18·18 links; thence in a north-westerly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 6·06 links; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 59° 42' 53" for a distance of 1·55 links; thence in a north-westerly direction on a bearing of 149° 42' 53" for a distance of 100·01 links to the point of commencement, and as the same is delineated on the plan thereon coloured with light blue wash and edged blue.

THIRD SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situate in the City of Palmerston North, containing one rood (1 rood), more or less, being Town Section 671, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 313, folio 148 (Wellington Registry).
