Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

E. H. Brown has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed garage premises at the corner of Dee Street and Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui.

H. and B. Darby have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on service-station premises at Cowes Bay, Waiheke Island.

Matiere Motors, Limited, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises situated at Main Street, Matiere.

L. J. Stoodley has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed service-station and garage premises on the corner of Beach Road and Channell View Road, Campbells Bay, Auckland.

R. W. L. Cargill, E. Bell, and P. G. I. Bell have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on general store premises situated at Main Road, Whangaehu.

N. P. Marsh has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed garage and service-station premises at Main South Road, Linton.

Kopuriki Transport Company, Limited, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at the junction of Te Whaiti, Murupara, and Galatea Roads, Kopuriki.

M. B. Carter has applied to take over a motor-spirits retail licence in respect of two pumps from C. L. Stokes and also to change the reselling point of the said pumps from their present location in London Street, Hampden, to the corner of London and Lincoln Streets, Hampden.

Leyland Motors, Limited, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump installed on their garage premises situated at 33 Ohinerau Street, Remuera, Auckland.

New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Company, Limited, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on business premises at Pahiatua.

Meikle and Mills, Limited, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Maxwell Road, Blenheim.

Darby and Helm, Limited, has applied for permission to change the retail selling-point of one pump from an inside position to a new site outside their premises at 13 St. Jude's Road, Avondale, Auckland.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 17th August, 1950, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Woodville, taken on the 14th day of July, 1950, on the proposal of the Woodville Borough Council to borrow the sum of £20,000 for the purpose of improving the water-supply system of the Borough—

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL

Result of Poll on Plant Loan

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Dannevirke, taken on the 20th day of July, 1950, on the proposal of the Dannevirke Borough Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of purchasing the following items of plant:

  1. Footpath roller. 2. Motor scythe with hedge-cutting attachment and back delivery lawn-mower attachment. 3. Pulverizer for compost. 4. Elevator for compost. 5. Vibrating screens for compost. 6. Clamshell bucket for loader. 7. Replacement of Chrysler light truck. 8. Replacement of Ford 3-yard metal-truck. 9. Gang-mower wheels or trailer. 10. Replacement of motor-mower for Domain. 11. Contingencies and brokerage, at a total cost of £4,000.

Price Order No. 1180 (Amendment No. 2 of Price Order No. 1128) (Main Crop Potatoes)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following amending Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1180, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1128* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 7th day of August, 1950.

  3. (1) This Order applies with respect to all potatoes which, being subject to the principal Order, are sold by a grower for delivery at any time after the commencement of this Order and on or before the 30th day of November, 1950.

(2) For the purposes of this Order no potatoes sold on the basis of f.o.b.s.e. or f.o.r.s.e. shall be deemed to be delivered to the purchaser after the commencement of this Order if—

(a) In the case of sales f.o.b.s.e. the vessel on which the potatoes are laden leaves the port of shipment at any time before midnight on the 6th day of August, 1950; or

(b) In the case of sales f.o.r.s.e. the trucks on which the potatoes are laden leave the grower's station at any time before midnight of the said date.

(3) Except as provided in the last preceding subclause, potatoes sold f.o.b.s.e. or f.o.r.s.e. shall be deemed to be delivered to the purchaser after the commencement of this Order notwithstanding that they may have been actually laden on board any vessel or trucks before the commencement of this Order.

MODIFICATION OF PRINCIPAL ORDER WITH RESPECT TO POTATOES THAT ARE SUBJECT TO THIS ORDER

  1. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the principal Order the maximum price that may be charged by any grower for any potatoes to which this Order applies shall be determined in accordance with the following scale, namely:

(a) For Sutton's Supreme, Red Dakota, or King Edward potatoes grown in the South Island and sold for delivery

Maximum Price per Ton f.o.b.s.e. a Port in the South Island. (Good Table). (f.a.q.). (Under-grade).
