Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section 18 of the Forests Act, 1949, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Amuri County, containing
approximately 16,000 acres, situated in Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, and
VII, Rainbow Survey District, Block XIII, Rotoiti, Survey District,
and Block XVI, Arnaud Survey District, and bounded generally
as follows: Commencing at the confluence of the Rainbow River
and Paske Creek; thence towards the south generally by the
Rainbow Run to the boundary between the Amuri and Murchison
Counties; thence towards the west and north-west generally by
the Murchison County boundary to its intersection with permanent
State forest land, Gazette 1942, page 1325; thence towards the
north-east by the permanent State forest land aforesaid to the
Hamilton River; thence towards the north-west generally by that
river to the Rainbow Run; thence towards the south-east generally
by the aforesaid run to the point of commencement. As the same is
more particularly delineated on plan No. 115/5, deposited in the
Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of July, 1950.

Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT: SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Waitaki County, containing
by admeasurement 162 acres 0 roods 23 perches, more or less,
being Section 3, Block XIII, Otepopo Survey District, and being
formerly part of Run 11A and Crown land. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 188/5, deposited in the Head
Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. (Otago Plan S.O. 9719.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of July, 1950.

described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Thames County,
containing by admeasurement 98 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more
or less, being part of Section 5, Block XIII, Whitianga Survey
District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No.
23/64, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest
Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (South Auckland
plans S.O. 20199 and S.O. 20912.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of July, 1950.
