Light Established

Position: Gibson Point. Lat. 42° 53′ 00″; long. 173° 19′ 30″ E. (Chart No. 2529).
Abridged description: Fl. W.R. 10 secs. 250 ft. 20, 15 M. (U).
Details: An unwatched light (electric) showing one flash every 10 seconds thus, flash 0·4 secs. eclipse 9·6 secs. will be exhibited on or about 3rd February, 1950, from a white steel tower in the above position. Elevation 250 ft., height of tower 9 ft. Arc of visibility: red from 202° to 231°, white thence through west and north to 027°, obscured elsewhere.

Notice to Mariners No. 6 of 1950

Alteration to Navigational Aids

  1. Position: Front beacon on crown of beach 800 ft. to the southward of training wall.
    Details: An additional set of beacons has been established, front beacon white inverted triangle, rear white diamond. The beacons are in transit 272° and exhibit fixed green lights.
  2. The red leads rear on the foreshore near baths and front off end of training wall have been adjusted to meet changed conditions and are now in transit 309°.

Price Order No. 1114 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 1056)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1114, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1056* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  • Gazette, 11th August, 1949, Vol. II, page 1692.
  1. This Order shall come into force on the 30th day of January, 1950.
  2. The First Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by inserting in the first column under the heading “ Bedding ” the words “ Down Quilts ” and opposite thereto in the second and third columns the percentages “ 50 ” and “ 57½ ” respectively.
    Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of January, 1950.

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1115, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1074* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 30th day of January, 1950.
  3. The First Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by inserting therein description of the goods and the percentages specified in the Schedule to this Order.
