Kaitaia Borough Council Required Under the Town-planning Act, 1926, to Prepare and Submit to the Town-planning Board a Town-planning Scheme for the Borough of Kaitaia

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1950
Present:
THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Kaitaia Borough Council, a borough within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, desires to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board a town-planning scheme in respect of all land within the said borough: And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within the said borough at such a rate that the preparation of a town-planning scheme is advisable in the public interest: Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section thirteen, subsection two of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Kaitaia Borough Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifty, a town-planning scheme in respect of all land within the said borough.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that there shall be constituted a Board to be called the Prisons Board, consisting of not less than three nor more than seven persons: And whereas by the said section it is provided that the members of the Board shall be appointed from time to time by the Governor-General in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion doth hereby appoint Samuel Thompson Barnett, Esquire, Wellington, to be a member of the Prisons Board constituted under the Crimes Amendment Act, 1910, as aforesaid.

Authorizing Certain Magistrates' Courts to Deal With Matters Under the Imprisonment for Debt Limitation Act, 1908

PURSUANT to subsection three of section four of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Magistrates' Courts held in the cities, boroughs, and other places named in the Schedule hereto, to deal with matters arising under the Imprisonment for Debt Limitation Act, 1908, or under any rules made as respects Magistrates' Courts pursuant to section two of that Act.

Declaring a Portion of the Toreparu Swamp, Karioi Survey District, in the Auckland Acclimatization District to be a Sanctuary

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act.

ALL that area of swamp included within Allotment S.E. 90, Lot 5, D.P. 25008 (part S.E. 90), Allotment N.W. 90, S.W. 89, M. 89, N.E. 89, S.W. 86, E. 86, S. 85, 126, 132, Manuaiti Blocks, B. 4 B. 3, B. 4 B. 2, B. 3, in Karioi Parish, in Blocks VIII, XII, and XIII, Karioi Survey District, Raglan County, being part of the area known as the Toreparu Swamp. As the same is delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/166, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 17th day of January, 1950.
