Additional Land at Riverton Taken for the Purposes of the Western Railways

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Western Railways.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—

0 0 15 Part Section 13, Block XV, Town of Riverton ;
coloured sepia.
0 0 14·7 Part Section 12, Block XV, Town of Riverton ;
coloured blue.
0 0 14·2 Part Section 10, Block XV, Town of Riverton ;
coloured blue.
0 0 9·8 Part Section 7, Block XIV, Town of Riverton ;
coloured orange.
0 0 8·7 Part Section 10, Block XIII, Town of Riverton ;
coloured sepia.

All situated in Block XXV, Jacobs River Hundred, Borough of Riverton. (S.O. 5863.)

In the Southland Land District: as the same are more particularly delineated in the plan marked L.O. 10161, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1950.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Fordell

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof

in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Wanganui County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 acres, 13 perches.
Being part Section 247, Left Bank Wanganui River.

Situated in Block VIII, Ikitara Survey District, Wanganui County. (S.O. 21879.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9951, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1950.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Road in Block XIII Thames Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was reserved for railway purposes and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Thames County Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land dealt with: 32·4 perches and 1 rood 36·9 perches.

Being parts Railway land in Proclamation registered as No. 919.

Situated in Block XIII, Thames Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 33854.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130304, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of January, 1950.
