Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Block XV, Tauakira Survey District, Wellington Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land and has been used by the public as a public road :
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 11th day of April, 1949, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act, 1931 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 487 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road :
2 roods 37 perches.
Being portion of Tauakira 2m 3a 2 Block.
Situated in Block XV, Tauakira Survey District. (W.D. 4459.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1803, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3051, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of July, 1950.

And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 20th day of August, 1947, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act, 1931 ;
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :

Crown Land Set Apart for the Purposes of the Maori Housing Act, 1935

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 2 of the Maori Housing Amendment Act, 1938, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Maori Housing Act, 1935.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Patangata County containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 20s (formerly part Section 10s), situated in Block V, Oero Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.A. 30/2/4663, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Hawke’s Bay Plan S.O. 2410.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of July, 1950.
