RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Cemetery (Karori) Improvement Loan, 1950,
of £37,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 3rd day of July, 1950 :—
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its Amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of thirty-seven thousand pounds (£37,000) to be known as the Wellington City Cemetery (Karori) Improvement Loan, 1950, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of carrying out improvements to paths and erecting a chapel at Karori Cemetery, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-one eight-hundredths of a penny (²¹/₈₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, from the fifteenth day of November, 1950, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD
—
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a new road, and for the purpose of such public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for the purposes of a road.
Notice is hereby further given that a copy of the S.O. Plan No. 34488, of the lands so required to be taken, is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated in Spring Street, Tauranga, and is there open for public inspection without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the 5th day of July, 1950, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the County Office, Spring Street, Tauranga.

Notice to Creditors to Prove
The liquidator of Carroll Buildings, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, hereby fixes the 11th day of August, 1950, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Companies Act, 1933, or to be excluded from benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otautau Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,200, authorized to be raised by the Otautau Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for improvements to the Coronation Hall, the said Otautau Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Otautau Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
