Price Order No. 1172 (Amendment No. 3 of Price Order No. 1074)
(Apparel and Softgoods)
Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal
acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and
Commerce hereby makes the following amending Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1172, and shall
be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1074*
hereinafter referred to as the principal Order). -
This Order shall come into force on the 13th day of July,

The Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by
omitting the references to blankets and substituting the references
in the Schedule to this Order.
SCHEDULE
PERCENTAGES that may be added to the prevailing wholesale price,
the landed cost, or the factory selling-price:—

Land Surveyors’ Examination, August-September, 1950.—Australia

The Survey Board of New Zealand,
Wellington, 11th July, 1950.
It is hereby notified for general information that the Survey
Board, in conjunction with the Australian Surveyors’ Boards,
will conduct an examination of candidates for registration as sur-
veyors, commencing at 9 a.m. on Monday, 28th August, 1950, at
Wellington.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper
form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Monday,
31st July, 1950, and that the examination fee must be paid at
the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and
other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates presenting themselves for examination in any
written subject or subjects may present themselves for examination
at any Chief Surveyor’s Office.
The oral and practical portion of the examination cannot be
taken until the candidate’s term of indentureship has been completed.
Candidates for the oral and practical portion of the examination
must sit in Wellington. Plans for this portion of the examination,
the certificate, and other evidence required by regulation No. 31
of the Survey Examination Regulations 1943, must be forwarded
with the application to sit.
The fees for examination are as follows:—

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—TARAKOHE
Scraping Operations in Progress
Position: Tarakohe Wharf. Lat., 40° 49′ S.; long., 172° 55′ E.
(approx.).
Details: Scraping operations for the purpose of removing
ridges in the berthage at Tarakohe are being carried out as circum-
stances permit. When vessels are not expected the scraping booms
approximately 30 feet in length are left rigged overnight for the
continuance of operations next day. The gear will be removed
when expected vessels are due to berth, but masters of vessels
arriving without notifying the Golden Bay Cement Company of
their intention to visit the port and to berth are warned to keep a
look out for the scraping booms which should be clearly visible as
the wharf is well illuminated.

Light-buoy Withdrawn for Repairs
Position: Centre of end of No. 4 wharf. Lat., 39° 28′·5 S.;
long., 176° 55′·3 E. (approx.).
Details: The black can buoy with flashing green light 2,300
feet 353° from above position has been withdrawn for repairs and
will be replaced as soon as possible. An unlighted buoy marks
the entrance to the fairway in the interim.
