Appointments in the Public Service

THE Public Service Commission has made the following appointments in the Public Service :—

John Louis Wellbrock Gerken

to be Deputy Registrar at Wellington of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and Deputy Registrar of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908 ; and Deputy Registrar of the Court of Review at Wellington for the purposes of the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, 1936, on and from the 1st day of April, 1950.

William McBride

to be District Land Registrar and Examiner of Titles for the District of Canterbury under section 4 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, and Registrar of Deeds for the District of Canterbury under section 6 of the Deeds Registration Act, 1908, on and from the 4th day of April, 1950.

Noel Cecil Gibson

to be Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Wellington for the purposes of the Destitute Persons’ Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 7th day of June, 1950.

Gerald Ellis Mortimer

to be Registrar of the Magistrates’ Courts at Kaikohe and Kawakawa for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1947, Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates’ Courts at Kaikohe and Kawakawa for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, and Clerk of the Licensing Committee for the Licensing District of Hobson for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, on and from the 3rd day of July, 1950.

Robert Gill Railley

to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, on and from the 6th day of July, 1950.
