  1. The Board may, subject to the provisions of section 171 of
    the Harbours Act, 1923, erect or license or permit the erection of
    bathing-sheds or boat-sheds on the Foreshore described in the
    First Schedule hereto, and may make by-laws regulating the use
    thereof, and may fix charges for such use, provided that the funds
    so received shall be expended in improving the foreshore for the
    benefit of the public.

  2. Nothing herein contained shall authorize the Board to remove
    or cause to be removed any stone, sand, shingle, or shells without
    the consent of the Minister being first obtained.

  3. By-laws made by the Board under the said Act in respect
    of the foreshore shall not have effect, unless and until approved in
    writing by the Minister.

  4. The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by or under
    this Order in Council shall continue to be in force for twenty-one
    years from the date hereof, unless in the meantime such rights,
    powers, and privileges shall be altered, modified, or revoked by
    competent authority.

  5. The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at any time
    resumed by the Governor-General without payment of any com-
    pensation whatever, on giving to the Board six calendar months’
    previous notice in writing. Any such notice shall be sufficient if
    given by the Minister, and delivered at or posted to the last-known
    address of the Board in New Zealand.

Conferring the Powers of a Tribal Executive Upon a Tribal Committee

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1948, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby confer
upon the Aotea Tribal Committee all of the powers conferred upon
a Tribal Executive by the Maori Social and Economic Advancement
Act, 1945, including the power to make by-laws, notwithstanding
the provisions of section 19 or section 20 of that Act.

advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke
the Order in Council made on the 7th day of May, 1937, and published
in the Gazette on the 20th day of May, 1937, at page 1162, and
affecting Kinohaku West E 1b 2, and other Blocks.

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart
and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
as a Maori reservation for the common use of the members of the
Whanau-a-Apanui Tribe as a meeting-house and dining-room site.

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart
and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Ngati Moerewa
and Ngati Rangi hapus as burial grounds.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District situate in Block
VIII, Punakitere Survey District, containing by admeasurement
6 acres, more or less, being part of the Maori Land Court subdivision
known as Motatau 5D. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked M.A. 21/3/217, deposited in the Head Office
of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.
