A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 1 rood 10·9 perches. Adjoining Sections 929, 930, and Crown Land, Town of Reefton. (Nelson R.D.) (S.O. 9637.)
In the Nelson Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130803, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of July, 1950.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Franklin County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road permitted to be stopped :- A. R. P. Adjoining 1 0 2·9 Part Allotments 36 and 41, Parish of Opaheke; coloured green. 0 1 36·2 Road adjoining part Allotments 36 and 41, Parish of Opaheke ; coloured red, edged red. FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1950 Present : His Excellency the Governor-General in Council PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.
SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold : 6 acres 2 roods 2·1 perches. Being all the land on Deposited Plan 4056 (Nelson Land Registry), being part Section I, District of Suburban North. Situated in Block IX, Wakapuaka Survey District, Waimea County.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Springston South Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1950 PRESENT : His Excellency the Governor-General in Council IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint The Commissioner of Crown Lands, for the Canterbury Land District, or his deputy, ex officio, Edward John Harris, Harry Burrows Duckworth, Edward Hammond, Ernest James Jamieson, George Allan McBean, Colonel Frank Pratt, Frank Greaves, and Ian Douglas McLeod to be the Springston South Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the 19th day of July, 1950, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., as the time when, and the Epworth Chambers, 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Bell Hill Public Hall Board

FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1950 Present : His Excellency the Governor-General in Council WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a public hall : And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board, as hereinafter provided : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act) in the under-mentioned persons, namely :— Arthur John Breen, Patrick Joseph Breen, Arthur Ernest Coleman, Arthur Frederick Lemon, James Danial Crengle, and George Bradshaw Dryden, who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Bell Hill Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say,— 1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the 26th day of each month at 8 o'clock p.m. at the Bell Hill Public Hall, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the 26th day of July, 1950. 2. The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor. 3. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days' notice of any such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting ; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting. 4. Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time. 5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.
