Vesting a Reserve in the Maniototo County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1950
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a war memorial: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo, in trust for a site for a war memorial.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for public purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, in trust, for public purposes.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for quarry purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection 1 (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 9·8 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve No. 999, Block III, Waimea Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 900, thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of the Greymouth–Waiho State Highway bearing 23° 22′ for 61·5 links, thence in a south-easterly direction bearing 125° 07′ for 203·3 links to the north-western boundary of Lot 19, D.P. 900, thence in a south-westerly direction along the said boundary of Lot 19 bearing 203° 22′ for 0·3 links to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 900 aforesaid; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said boundary of Lot 1 bearing 287° 41′ for 200 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/167, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection 1 (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for a township over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available or disposal under the Land Act, 1948.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block XV, Stonyhurst Survey District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being part Lot 10, Reserve 159. Authorizing Norman Linton Ogilvie, of Coromandel, Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity, and to Erect Certain Electric Lines

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to Norman Linton Ogilvie, of Coromandel, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to obstruct, impound, or divert the waters of the Waiau Stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in part Section 4, Block X, Coromandel Survey District, and to take and use therefrom for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of water not exceeding 6 cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter described.
