Waikato River; thence southerly generally up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Mangawara Stream; thence south-easterly generally up the middle of the Mangawara Stream, to and up the middle of the Komakorau Stream to its intersection with the southern boundary of Block VI, Komakorau Survey District, and along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 4A, on the plan numbered 3916, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland ; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of the said Lot 4A and Lots 3, 2, and 1, on the plan numbered 4472, deposited as aforesaid, to the north-eastern boundary of Ruakura Station Road ; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lisettes Road and its production to the middle of the Mangaonua Stream ; thence south-westerly and southerly generally down the middle of that stream, to and up the middle of the Waikato River to the production of a right line between the southernmost corner of Section 204, Tuhikaramea Parish in Block XII, Alexandra Survey District, and the southernmost corner of Section 112, Te Rapa Parish in Block VII, Hamilton Survey District ; thence westerly to and along the said right line to the southernmost corner of Section 204, aforesaid ; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Tahuanui in Block II, Pirongia Survey District ; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Moerangi lc Block in Block XIII, Alexandra Survey District, and a right line to the junction of Ponds Road.with the Kauroa-Te Mata Main Highway; thence south-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 96 (E.R.), Karioi Parish, Block VIII, Karioi Survey District ; thence northerly generally to and along the sea-coast, across the entrance to Whaingaroa Harbour, and again along the sea-coast to the mouth of the Ohuka Stream, the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of June, 1950.

Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945
[L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said Act, and do hereby assign to the said district the name "Kaokaoroa Tribal District."
SCHEDULE KAOKAOROA TRIBAL DISTRICT ALL that area situated in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 3, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, being a point on the north-western boundary of the Matamata County as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1950 at page 275 ; thence proceeding north-easterly generally along that county boundary to the middle of the Mangapapa River; thence south-easterly along a right line in the direction of Trig. Station M (Rangitanuku) in Block XI, Tapapa Survey District, to the middle of the Piarere-Kaimai Main Highway ; thence easterly and north-easterly generally along the middle of that highway, to and along the middle of the Matamata-Tauranga Main Highway to its intersection with a right line between Trig. Station 146 (Te Weraiti), being the western corner of Block IV, Opoutihi Survey District, and Trig. Station 27 (Puwhenua), being the eastern corner of Block VII, Tapapa East Survey District ; thence south-easterly along the last-mentioned right line to Trig. Station 27 aforesaid ; thence southerly along a right line in the direction of the westernmost corner of Section 9, Block V, Horohoro Survey District, to its intersection with the production of a right line between Trig. Station No. 816 (Whakaaratamaiti) in Block VII, Patetere North Survey District, and the south-western corner of Section 4, Block IX, Rotorua Survey District ; thence easterly to and along the last-mentioned right line to Trig. Station No. 816 aforesaid ; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 47, Block IV, Maungatautari Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Waikato River ; thence down the middle of that river to its intersection with a right line between Trig. Station No. 52 (Pukekura) in Block XIV, Cambridge Survey District, and Trig. Station Y (Opuahau) in Block X, Cambridge Survey District ; thence north-easterly along the said right line to Trig. Station Y aforesaid ; thence north-westerly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 3, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of July, 1950.

Land Taken for the Putaruru - Upper Atiamuri Railway [L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Putaruru - Upper Atiamuri Railway.
