At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of June, 1950
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection (1) of section 30 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, applies, a rabbit district, and doth appoint that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Hautapu Rabbit District, and doth order that the basis on which the Rabbit Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of land occupied by the ratepayer.

SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE HAUTAPU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that land in the Rangitikei County containing 119,350 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in the middle of the Hautapu River in line with the northern boundary of Section 1 (Run 29), Block XIV, Moawhango Survey District; thence in an easterly direction generally to and along the northern boundary of that section and along the northern boundaries of Rangipo Waiau B. Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 6B 2, 6C 2, 7D, 7C, and 7E, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Moawhango River; thence southerly generally along the middle of the aforesaid river to its confluence with the middle of the Rangitikei River; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of the Rangitikei River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 7, Block XIV, Pukeokahu Survey District; thence to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 7 aforesaid; thence easterly and southerly generally along the north-eastern and eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XIV, Pukeokahu Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned Section; thence south-westerly along a right line to Colenso Trig. Station; thence westerly generally along the southern boundary of Lot 2 of Section 2, Block II, Ruahine Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 5, Block V, Ruahine Survey District; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundary of Section 5 aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Kawhatau River; thence in a south-westerly and north-westerly direction along the middle of that river to its confluence with the middle of the Rangitikei River; thence northerly along the middle of the Rangitikei River and the middle of the Hautapu River to a point in line with the production of the north-western boundary of Section 1 (Run 29), Block XIV, Moawhango Survey District, to the point of commencement.

SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE TINUI RABBIT DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Masterton and Castlepoint Counties bounded as follows: Commencing at a point being the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block XVI, Puketoi Survey District, and being the north-western corner of Lot 6 on the plans numbered 5630, 5632, and 5633 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence proceeding easterly generally along the northern boundary of that lot to the middle of the Pakowhai River; thence easterly generally along the middle of that river and the Mataikona River to the northern boundary of Section 1, Mataikona Settlement, being a point on the northern boundary of the Mataikona Rabbit District as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 44 of 28th July, 1949, at page 1594; thence westerly, southerly, and easterly generally along the northern, western, and southern boundaries of the aforesaid rabbit district to a point on the sea-coast, being the easternmost corner of Section 320, Whareama District, situated in Block XI, Castlepoint Survey District; thence southerly generally along the sea-coast to the middle of the Whareama River; thence westerly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 52, Whareama District; thence by a right line to the northern boundary of Section 56, Whareama District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Sections 56 and 59, Whareama District, and Lot 1 on the plan numbered 10442, deposited aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Section 677, Block VII, Rewa Survey District; thence southerly along that eastern boundary to the northern boundary of Section 679, Whareama District; thence westerly along that northern boundary to the eastern boundary of the State Forest Reserve situated in Blocks VI and X, Rewa Survey District; thence northerly, westerly, and southerly along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of that reserve to the southern boundary of the land in the plan numbered 11340, deposited aforesaid; thence westerly generally along the southern boundaries of Lots 3 and 2 on that plan, and of Lot 1 on plan 2218, deposited aforesaid, and of Lots 4, 3, and 2 on the plans numbered 2301, 2302, 2303, deposited aforesaid, to the northern boundary of the land on the plan numbered 14017, deposited aforesaid; thence westerly along the northern boundary of that land and the land on the plan numbered 14458 deposited aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Section 556, Whareama District; thence northerly, westerly, and southerly generally along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 556 aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waipawa Stream; thence northerly generally along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 605, Whareama District; thence to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that section to the southern side of the Masterton–Castlepoint via Tinui Main Highway; thence easterly generally along that highway to the eastern boundary of Section 607, Whareama District; thence northerly by the crossing of the Main Highway aforesaid and the eastern boundary of Section 607 aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Kahumangi Stream; thence northerly along the middle of that stream and the Taueru River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 96, Whareama District; thence to and along the said northern boundary to the westernmost corner of Lot 3 on the plan numbered 1089, deposited aforesaid; thence easterly generally along the northern boundary of Lots 3 and 2 and along the southern boundary of Lot 1 on that plan to the western boundary of Lot 6 on the plan numbered 2337, deposited aforesaid; thence northerly along the western boundary and easterly along the northern boundary of Lot 6 aforesaid to the western boundary of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 2336, deposited aforesaid; thence southerly, north-easterly, and north-westerly generally along the western, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of part of the said Lot 1 as comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 263, folio 277 (Wellington Registry), to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3 on the plan numbered 2335, deposited aforesaid; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 3 and 2 on that plan to the western boundary of Lot 5 on the plan numbered 2336, deposited aforesaid; thence northerly and easterly generally along the western and northern boundaries of that land to the southern boundary of Section 876, Whareama District; thence easterly along that southern boundary and northerly along the eastern boundary of that section to the southern side of a public road; thence westerly along that southern side to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 875, Whareama District; thence to and along that eastern boundary to the southern boundary of Section 871, Whareama District; thence westerly, northerly, and easterly along the southern, western, and northern boundaries of Section 871 aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Section 293, Whareama District; thence northerly along that eastern boundary to the north-western boundary of Section 869, Whareama District; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of that section to the northern boundary of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 90, folio 230 (Wellington Registry), being part Sections 303 and 302, Whareama District; thence easterly along that northern boundary to the western boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 4896, deposited aforesaid; thence northerly generally along that western boundary and northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 9604, deposited aforesaid; thence north-easterly generally along the north-western boundary of Lot 6 on the plans numbered 5630 and 5632 to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in him by section 6 of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the access-ways described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland and be under the control and management of the Auckland City Council.
